Scene #6 루크네 다이너
LORELAI: I don't know. I'm just in a mood. I don't know why.
(모르겠어. 그냥 그런 기분이 안좋아. 왜 그런지 모르겠어.)
LUKE: But there's no particular reason for this mood?
(근데 기분이 안좋은 특별한 이유는 없는 거야?)
LORELAI: No.
(없어.)
* 동네 축제 분위기가 여전히 맘에 안드는 로렐라이.

Tom was obviously in a mood.
Leave her alone. She is in a mood now.
LORELAI: Ugh, can nobody talk about anything else but this stupid festival?
That came out a lot louder than it was supposed to, didn't it?
(으악, 이 바보 같은 축제 말고 아무도 다른 얘기를 할 순 없는 거야?
생각보다 훨씬 더 크게 튀어나왔네요, 그렇죠?)
* 뒷자리에 있는 패티 아줌마와 타일러가 계속 축제에 관한 이야기를 합니다.
듣기 싫은 로렐라이는 자기도 모르게 큰 소리로 말해버리죠.

LUKE: It's a crazy festival based on a nutty myth about two lunatics,
who in all probability did not even exist.
(이건 두 정신 나간 애들에 대한 바보 같은 미신을 바탕으로 한 미친 축제야.
아마 존재하지도 않았던 사람들일걸.)

LUKE: What are you…
I mean, I thought you were in the Congo or Philadelphia or something.
(당신 뭐야… 내 말은, 당신이 콩고나 필라델피아나 뭐 그런데 있는 줄 알았는데.)
RACHEL: Actually, though very similar to both the Congo and Philadelphia,
I was in the Mideast.
(사실, 콩코나 필라델피아랑 매우 비슷하지만, 나 중동에 있었어.)
* 루크는 아무런 연락도 없이 갑자기 다이너에 나타난 레이첼을 보고 놀랍니다.
