오늘 읽어드릴 팝송은 Maroon 5의 “Memories” 입니다.
마룬 5는 너무나도 유명한 밴드라 따로 설명드리지 않아도 될거 같아요.
이 곡은 작년 9월에 발표되었구요, 당시 빌보드 핫 100에 22위로 데뷔했습니다.
올해 1월 2위까지 올라왔었네요.

코러스 부분의 멜로디가 익숙하셨을거 같아요.
파헬벨의 캐논을 샘플링했다고 합니다.
노래가 경쾌한 거에 비해 왜 이렇게 슬픈 느낌인가 했더니
갑자기 세상을 떠난 어릴적 친구이자 매니저였던 Jordan Feldstein의 추모곡이라고 하네요.
그래서 그런지 가사가 꼭 추도식에서 하는 말 같이 느껴졌어요.
